It is possible this may be caused by the white noise from the surroundings.
We have introduced a VOX option on all the baby monitors through the latest baby camera firmware (v.03.02.34) and parent unit firmware (v.04.00.16) upgrade.
What does VOX do?
When you turn on the VOX feature, the audio on the parent unit will be muted when the overall audio level is lower than the set audio threshold.
This helps to cut off the white noise, when there is a sound (i.e baby cries) greater than the audio threshold, the audio will play on the parent unit at full volume.
How to enable the VOX feature on the parent unit :
- Press on the menu
- Press the arrows "up" or down" to find and highlight this icon
and press OK.
- Once you enable the VOX. You will see the following icons on your screen
Then you can select by pressing the arrows "left" or "right" the level that suits your environment surroundings and press OK.
Once VOX is enabled it is set by default to Level 2
- Select Disable VOX
- Level 1 very quiet environment
- Level 2 (default) medium noise (i.e other equipment working - fan, air condition etc.)
- Level 3 - Very Noisy environment (i.e other equipment working - fan, air condition etc. and other outside noise)
Please Note:
The VOX will start working one (1) minute after the desired level is selected.
How to disable the VOX feature on the parent unit :
- Press on the menu
- Press the arrows "up" or down" and select this icon
- You will see this icon on the screen
press the "OK" button to disable.
