You may grant access to your family and friends using the feature called Grant Access which is located on the side menu of the Dashboard.
Please follow the steps below to Grant Access:
- Click on “
” which is located on the Dashboard
- Select Grant Access under Devices
- Click on + which is in the right top corner
- Simply follow instructions on the app - either via email or QR code
There are a couple of prerequisites while granting access via QR Code:
The recipient device should be physically available or present in the same location or vicinity as the owner device.
The recipient device should have the Kodak Smart Home App downloaded onto the mobile.
Steps to grant access via QR Code:
- Launch app (owner device) and tap on the 3 parallel lines located top left corner to go to the main settings
- Select Devices -> Grant Access -> Tap on the plus sign (+) located in top right corner
- Then tap on the “Via QR code” option in the pop-up
- Select the device you want to share
- Now tap on the button that appears at the bottom of the screen “Generate QR code” This will be in red.
- Then the QR code will appear on the screen of the mobile device (owner device)
- Then you need to open the app on the recipient mobile device and tap on the 3 parallel lines located at the top left corner to go to the main settings
- Tap on Devices -> Scan QR Code for Grant Access
- Now you scan the QR code
- Tap OK in the owner device to provide access
Now the access will be granted to the recipient device and will automatically connect to the Air Purifier.
